The winter season in Špindlerův Mlýn usually starts at the end of November. The first step is the opening of some climbing routes. Ski center Špindlerův Mlýn is usually open from the beginning of December. Depending on the weather, the opening date may be later. At the beginning of the winter season, the resort usually hosts an official opening ceremony where townspeople and visitors come together to celebrate the start of the season. The ski season in Špindlerův Mlýn lasts until the end of March.
